As South Africans, we don’t get to see a LOT of snow, and as a Durban South African, I get to see even less! So when I saw that there was a covering of snow around the Underberg area, I couldn’t help but get inspired to put people in it and take pictures of them :) ;)
Pippa Sharp of Wildeflower was just as keen as me for a spontaneous adventure, and so in literally one afternoon, she managed to pull together the most beautiful styling for a snowy photo shoot!! As it happened, Roxy and Dale Hutton of City Girl Searching and the Daley Vlog were keen to be our models, and so we arranged to meet them in Underberg for a little adventure!
The rain of the following day had caused much of the snow to melt, and so after fighting off a twinge of disappointment, we found a soft carpet of crisp white snow down an over-grown track in this forest, which fired our imaginations and got the creative juices flowing again :) :)
As we walked deeper into the forest, the pure, undisturbed snow that lay on the floor contrasted so beautifully with the dark forest, and created the perfect setting for this romantic shoot! Dale and Roxy were game for just about anything, and we had such a lot of fun as we explored the forest and made out way through the snow. Roxy braved the icy cold wind, and looked absolutely incredible in her exquisite laced wedding dress, followed by a deep red evening gown.

Pippa, who styled the decor as well as the flowers, did such an incredible job at creating a warm mood in this chilly setting. She used deep reds in the roses, proteas and gerberas, against lush greens in the foliage, with copper candle stands and red wine to complement the setting. Apples, pomegranates and grapes were the final touches.
